GRIDFALL 79
America, 1979. The oil shock has made every lit window feel precious. On a long night shift, a young neighborhood volunteer takes an experimental patrol craft above the rooftops to intercept an unknown signal slipping through the power lines. Hold the line until the block can shine again.
GRIDFALL 79 is a compact, single-screen sci-fi shooter about energy anxiety, Cold War uncertainty, and ordinary people looking after one another. Its amber dusk, rooftop antennas, and simple arcade action draw on the era’s mix of technological optimism and unease. The invaders are deliberately mysterious: the threat matters less than the community trying to keep its lights on.
